I’m a stay-at-home mom and I also work part-time at our local parish as a Communications Secretary. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in creative advertising and Catholic studies. Prior to pulling back in my ministry, I worked in the areas of stewardship and faith-formation at another local parish. I am also an instructor for the Diocese of Green Bay. I plan and facilitate events for women as well as teach a course for catechists in our diocese on Prayer and Spirituality. I adore teaching adults and helping them to share their faith. It is a deep passion of mine. I’ve spoken at conferences and events throughout the country on a variety of topics and have hopes that someday the Lord will call me into a higher education teaching role.
When I’m not busy dressing, feeding and tidying up my little loves or ministering within the Church, I love to read, write, and craft. I also love to cook and bake for fun and am always trying new recipes. I’ve gotten to be quite a master at seasonal, healthy and appealing meals, which is saying something in NE Wisconsin. We love to garden, travel and adventure as a family. We also love watching movies and TV together.
I call Green Bay, Wisconsin home these days, but spent much of my life moving around the country. I have 2 younger adult sisters and a 7-year-old brother. My parents are foster parents and so we always have an abundance of children around and about. My husband and I are a sandwich couple with young children, middle age parents, and elderly parents. We learned very quickly that family life is not birth to 18.
I believe that it is my call to live a life of gratitude and witness. Gratitude for God’s blessings and provision and as a witness to God’s love and peace in my life and our world. I strive to teach this same simple message of gratitude and witness to my family.
