I’m in the throes of children’s consignment sale season over here. I’m furiously going through my basement and closets, ironing, hanging and tagging. During the mundane task of ironing, my brain tends to wander.
“What are you going to do for Lent?”
I generally have a million lofty goals for Lent, and end up being about 10% successful.
This year, I’m setting my sights for more reasonable achievements, and hope to clean my house in the process.
It stands to reason that we all have things we can do without in our lives. During this Lenten season, why not declutter your house, and free yourself of extra baggage?
I’ll be participating in the 40 Bags in 40 Days Challenge this Lent. The premise is simple. Over the 40 days of Lent – get rid of 40 bags of stuff in your house. Doesn’t matter if it’s going to the Goodwill, the consignment sales, a family in need, or the trash pile ….. throw it out!
Looking for support during this challenge?Be sure and chat in the comment box so we can stop by your site and cheer you on. Spread the word — let’s make our lives a little lighter this Lent.
